Quick Update

Greetings again to one and all.  It’s been a little while since my last posting, and since I’ve got a little time before I go watch 24, I thought I’d try to get something up.  

For those of you who haven’t bounced over to Ann’s page in a while, you should know that she’s added another.  Besides chronicling the happenings of her 2 sub-Kindergarteners on her site (http://crestmorecottage.blogspot.com/), she’s added one on etiquette:  http://etiquetteadvice.blogspot.com/.  In some ways, I have more fun putting up comments on her page than I do on mine, and not surprisingly, I’ve managed to get a few of my own etiquette suggestions up.

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter.  I got to work the sound board at church for both the 7:30 and 8:30 services.  That’s in addition to my weekly duties of getting the offerings counted and posted.  Normally, that takes about 2-1/2 hours, even with some help.  However, this week was closer to 3-1/2 thanks to extra services and more people showing up (being Easter and all).

I’m beginning my search for a full-time position by starting to call on different people who may be able to help me out.  I can’t say I’m looking for anything in particular, but it probably is safe to say that barring a decision to do something like write a book (which I am considering a couple of possibilities for), something that would let me use my skill and experience in operations would probably be the best fit.  And for those of you at TNG who are reading this, I’ll say that I’ve mentioned to Debbie that I’m open to the possibility of returning on a permanent basis if it makes sense for both of us, but we agreed there’s a number of things that would need to be worked out.  I’m happy doing the consulting thing right now.  That’s about all I can say at this point.

Outside of that, I’ve been trying to watch my Yankees (who are off tonight), as well as get in some basketball once a week.  Thanks to everyone who’s actually managed to keep that going for what will be 6 straight weeks tomorrow.  It’s been cool to see everyone playing far better than what we did when we got things started again.

Rumor is that my brother may be back in the area sometime in the next few weeks.  He’s looking at auditing someone here in the Charlotte metro area, but nothing’s been confirmed at this point.
